Accurate plantation enumerations and independent valuations for transactions, financing and management planning.
Field enumeration of standing timber across plantation compartments. Charles conducts direct measurements of basal area, height and stem density to establish current growing stock. Data is then processed using validated growth models to produce yield tables and volume estimates.
Two valuation approaches are applied depending on the purpose. The Faustmann Formula establishes the land expectation value — what the land is worth if managed optimally for forestry in perpetuity. NSV (Net Stumpage Value) establishes the value of the current standing timber crop at the point of harvest. Both are widely used and accepted by South African banks, development finance institutions and buyers.
Plantation owners preparing for sale. Buyers and investors conducting pre-purchase assessments. Banks and development finance institutions requiring independent security valuations. Estate managers planning long-term harvesting programmes.
