FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification requires forest management operations to demonstrate compliance with a comprehensive set of environmental, social and operational standards. Charles conducts first-party (internal) pre-audit assessments that identify where an operation stands against FSC requirements — before the third-party certifier arrives.
A third-party audit determines whether certification is awarded or maintained. A first-party pre-audit is conducted by or on behalf of the certificate holder to find and address non-conformances in advance. Getting this right is the difference between a successful certification outcome and a costly non-conformance finding during the official audit.
